The most usual use of a horse we see in the media is that of one sweating profusely, panting it’s breath a mile a minute, and being whipped by a jockey in order for them to reach the finish line: a horse race. But did you know that beyond the stereotypes we hold about horses and how we humans relate to them, horses have been giving us their most loyal help since the ancient times? They can be considered one of the earliest forms of transportation that we have used, and a rider and her horse usually have a much deeper connection than the average master and animal one. It speaks of power held within perfect control, and used to serve another.
