According to en.wikipedia.org, an equestrian which is also known as an “excellent man” is classified under the two social classes in the early Roman Empire. The social classes were also known as knights. As we all know, knights are always associated with horses as we can see in movies and even in cartoons. That is why equestrians or horsemen became popular in Rome and eventually passed on different generations in different places of the world. From the classes of society to a field of sports, equestrians are continually spreading. It is good to know that nowadays, not only knights or those in social classes can be call as equestrians.
